Peer Reviewed designation from the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) is difficult to achieve.
In fact, over the last three years, only 24 of 71 applications went on to earn the designation. Products or services that carry this distinguished label have undergone a rigorous review process that, according to HFMA, evaluates and measures:
- Effectiveness (improves your process or productivity)
- Quality and Usability (maintains a reputation for integrity)
- Accuracy and Reliability (draws on practical industry knowledge and experience)
- Value (proves compatible with HFMA values)
- Customer Service and Technical Support (addresses your needs quickly and effectively)
Only those that earn a “superior” grade get to use the label Peer Reviewed.
We’re very proud that our Transfer DRG Revenue Recovery service is one of just a couple to be awarded this designation.
But, why would we go to such lengths to earn this label?
We believed that our Transfer DRG recovery service provided enormous value to our customers, but we wanted to know that the market thought so too. Going through the Peer Review process allowed a neutral party to put our service under a microscope. They spoke with our customers and those who considered, but did not purchase our service. The evaluators solicited honest, specific feedback that simply had to be outstanding in order for us to achieve the designation.
Peer Review is a continuous process, not a one-time event. Eighteen months after being awarded the designation, we had to go back under the microscope to ensure that our service was living up to the standard that was set. And, we proved once again that it was.
The measures of the Peer Review label are very much in line with our own values – excellence, accuracy, customer service. It’s our number one priority to continue to live up to the high standards of the Peer Review designation and deliver unparalleled service to our customers. That’s why we pursued HFMA Peer Reviewed status.
