Additional COVID-19 Response Funding Now Available for Rural Health Providers

Health and Human Services (HHS) has announced $1B for Rural COVID-19 Response. This means that there is additional funding available for Rural Health providers. HRSA is responsible for $460M of this money for Rural Health Clinics (RHCs) and $398M for Small Rural Hospitals. The small rural hospitals are currently defined as Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs) and providers with fewer than 50 beds.

All of this funding is related to testing, vaccinations, and mitigation for COVID-19. Providers are required to apply for this additional reimbursement.
